du Sud vers le Nord et les
migrations
touristiques du Nord vers le Sud
ainsi
que les moyens de communication
à
distance rendent possibles de nouvelles
formes
de rencontres et d’intimités transnationales,
plus
ou moins commercialisées
qui,
au-delà des élites, concernent désormais
des
gens ordinaires. S’appuyant sur des
études
ethnographiques menées en France et
au
Sénégal qui se sont intéressées aux transactions
intimes
entre des femmes blanches
– européennes
– et des hommes noirs
– africains
– plus jeunes et plus pauvres
qu’elles,
l’article montre comment la mondialisation
néolibérale
s’appuie sur les
rapports
de domination préexistants et tend
à
reconduire, dans les hiérarchies Nord/Sud,
la
racialisation des identités de genre. Les
relations
entre ces jeunes Blacks et ces vieilles
Blanches
sont analysées comme une configuration
historicisée
de la domination qui
ouvre
à la nécessité d’approfondir la réflexion
sur
l’imbrication de l’âge avec les normes de
genre
et d’inclure, dans un même cadre
critique,
les différents ordres et principes de
hiérarchisation.

During the Era of Globalization.
— South-North
economic migrations and
North-South
tourist migrations along with
long-distance
communications generate new
possibilities
for transnational forms of meeting
and
intimacy that, more or less commercial,
now
concern ordinary people and
not
just elites. Case studies conducted
in
France and Senegal have focused on
«
intimate transactions » between white
(European)
women and black (African) men
who
are younger and poorer. Based on
preexisting
relations of domination, neoliberal
globalization
tends to prolong the « racialization
»
of gender identities. The relations
between
these young black men and older
white
women are analyzed as a historicized
configuration
of a domination that forces us
to
deepen our reflection about how age overlaps
with
gender-based norms and to bring
the
various orders and principles of hierarchization
into
a single critical perspective.
